Ireland has a changeable climate, with mild summers and cool winters.

The coldest months to visit are January and February, with temperatures reaching just 4-7°C, whereas in July and August temperatures can reach 14-16°C. The wettest weather is endured by those in the West of the country, while the East and South enjoy the most sunshine through the year.

In May and June you can expect an average of 5-7 hours of sunshine per day. You are advised to take rainwear/umbrella throughout the year.
