England: Being an island, England is prone to very changeable weather. It generally enjoys a temperate climate with warm wet summers (May-Aug) and cold wet winters (Nov-Feb). The South Coast enjoys the most sun whilst the Southwest of the country has the mildest climate. Mountainous areas and the Northwest of England suffer the highest rainfall but the coldest weather is endured by those on the Northeast Coast.

Scotland: On the whole, Scotland, especially its northern regions, is slightly colder than the rest of the UK and is prone to very unsettled weather. The West Coast is slightly wetter than the cool, dry East Coast. Snow on the highlands during winter is common and you can expect fog and mist at any time of the year.
