What better way to start your Icelandic adventure than bathing in the famous Blue Lagoon to soothe and refresh body and soul after your flight.

Enjoy relaxing in the cosy and warm waters of the Blue Lagoon and in addition to bathing in the lagoon, guests have access to a sauna with a view of the lagoon, a steam-bath with white walls that resemble silica-mud and a cosy steam-bath carved into a lava cave. Guests can also stand beneath a small waterfall for an energizing massage. Of course, guests bathing in the milky waters of the Blue Lagoon have easy access to the famous white silica-mud, an essential part of the spa experience. Overnight in Reykjavik.

Day 2: Golden Circle (8 hours)

This popular day trip from Reykjavik should not be missed on your Icelandic vacation. The Golden Circle Tour will take you to:

Thingvellir National Park, a remarkable historical and geological site, which is located by Lake Thingvallavatn, the largest lake in Iceland. The beautiful canyon running through the park is actually the meeting point of two of the earth’s tectonic plates. Furthermore, in this area the oldest form of parliament had met since 930.

Gullfoss waterfall (the Golden Waterfall) where you will see thousands of tons of icy water thunder majestically down in double falls into a deep canyon.

Geysir geothermal area where bubbling hot springs and geysers are abundant. Here you’ll find also Strokkur, the most active geyser in the area, spouting up to 25-30 meters. Overnight in Reykjavik.

Day 3: Black & Blue: Caving and Snorkelling (7 hours)

We head to Thingvellir National Park, where we explore the hidden marvels of a lava cave.

The Gjabakkahellir cave is a perfect example of an Icelandic lava tube and is situated in one of the most active volcano areas in the world. After the underground exploration, enjoy a packed lunch before heading to lake Thingvallavatn. Snorkeling in the Silfra fissure is the second activity and incredible adventure of the day.

Silfra is one of Iceland’s best-kept secrets, a submerged crack between two continental plates that drift apart 2 cm per year. It’s an otherworldly underwater scenary in countless shades of blue. The crystal clear water in the deep fissure gives you a feeling of being weightless as you float down with the lazy current. Overnight in Reykjavik.

No previous experience required. Anyone over 14 years old or 150 cm height (4′ 11”). Bring with you: A towel, woolen socks, good outdoor shoes, warm outdoor clothing, waterproof jacket and pants. All other equipment is included.

Day 4: Horse Back Riding – Lava Tour (5 hours)

This tour offers an adventurous ride through the lava fields around Mt. Helgafell or Lake Hvaleyrarvatn.

The Icelandic Horse is unique to the country of Iceland, bred since the settlement in isolation from the outside world. Enjoy its smooth riding qualities, namely the tolt gait. Ride through rough lava fields and look at different rock formations, maybe you will be able to spot a troll or two. The beautiful Blafjoll mountains tower above on the horizon.

No previous riding experience required. Included: Riding helmets, rubber boots and rainwear during the ride. 1.5 – 2 hours of riding.
