Day 1: Arrive Budapest
Arrive in Budapest. Rest of the day at leisure to explore, shop or unwind.
Day 2: Budapest
Afternoon: Budapest Segway Sightseeing Tour (1.5 hours)
The tour starts with a 30-minute orientation session. You will have time practice on the Segways so that everyone feels comfortable and ready to go out and conquer Budapest. This 1.5 hour tour gives you a fantastic opportunity to try out a Segway and also give you the chance for a quick orientation of inner Pest and fabulous views of the stunning buildings along our route. Besides the main attractions within the inner Pest, you will also get a quick look at the Chain Bridge, Roosevelt Square and more.
Day 3: Budapest
Full Day: Danube Bend Day Trip
Take an excursion into Hungary’s history on this popular Danube Bend full day trip. Traveling by air-conditioned coach, you’ll visit the gorgeous old towns of Visegrad, Esztergom and Szentendre, enjoy a three-course lunch and take a River Danube cruise – a highlight of any trip to Hungary!
The day trip takes you to Visegrad, with its medieval citadel and romantic ruins of the former royal residence. Then it’s on to Esztergom for an interior visit of the town’s famous cathedral.
After enjoying a three-course lunch with coffee, you will continue on to the Baroque artists’ village of Szentendre. Here you’ll take a guided walk through the town and visit the Caprice Hungarian Jewelry Center, followed by coffee and soft drinks. Your tour returns to Budapest by boat on the River Danube (May 01 to September 30 only, tide permitting). During other times or at low tide the tour returns to the city center by bus.
Day 4: Budapest – Vienna

Day 5: Vienna

Optional: Schonbrunn Palace Evening Concert (2 hours)
Listen to the music of Mozart and Strauss in the superb setting of the Orangery at Schonbrunn Palace. Accompanied by renowned musicians, singers and ballet dancers, the Schonbrunn Palace Orchestra performs the most famous works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johann Strauss. The orchestra consists of highly talented virtuosos who have trained at the world’s best-known conservatories. With a choice of seating, this two hour concert is a must do when visiting Vienna.
Day 6: Vienna – Prague
Morning: Depart Vienna to Prague. Rest of the day at leisure to explore, shop or unwind.
Evening: Prague Ghost Walking Tour (3 hours)
Experience Prague’s spooky side on a nighttime ghost walking tour. Hear the spine-chilling stories that the city hides in its streets and solitary alleys. Walk through the city after dark, passing top Prague attractions like the Astronomical Clock, Charles Bridge, St Nicholas Church and the Jewish Quarter.
As twilight descends upon Prague, meet your ghostly guide in a convenient central location and embark on your three-hour ghost walking tour through the city’s dark and mystical streets. Your exact itinerary will be revealed on the night of your tour; famous Prague sights you may see include the Old Town, the graveyards in the Jewish Quarter and the Charles Bridge, an ancient river crossing that has seen bloodshed and haunting through the ages.
Day 7: Prague
Afternoon: Prague Bike Tour (2 hours)
Experience Prague’s exceptional architecture and famous land marks by the seat of your bike on this guided bike tour. You’ll ride through quaint side streets before enjoying a 30 minute break at a river side pub on the Vltava’s water ways. What better way to rest, relax and sample some world famous Czech beer!
This bike tour moves at a very comfortable pace, even for those who haven’t ridden a bike in a while or are beginners. Your friendly and humorous guide will ensure a good time for all, while taking in the city sites.
Day 8: Prague
Full day: Karlovy Vary Day Trip from Prague
Take a day trip through the picturesque West Bohemian countryside to the world-famous spa town of Karlovy Vary. Better known by its German name, Karlsbad (or Carlsbad), this spa town is situated in a beautiful forested valley known for its 12 thermal springs.
Karlovy Vary is the most famous Bohemian spa, and was named for the Holy Roman Emperor Charles (Karl) IV. The emperor allegedly found the springs in 1358 during a hunting expedition. In the 19th century, many famous people came here from all over Europe for treatment, including Goethe, Schiller, Beethoven, Chopin and Karl Marx.
Upon your arrival in Karlovy Vary, you will visit a glass exhibition at the Moser factory. Then, as you stroll through the town along the spa colonnades, you will have a chance to sip the water from the mineral springs, taste delicious local wafers and the traditional herbal Becherovka liqueur.
Full day: Cesky Krumlov Day Trip from Prague
If you love castles, you won’t want to miss Cesky Krumlov’s World Heritage-listed castle! Known as ‘the Pearl of the Renaissance’, the State Castle of Cesky Krumlov is one of the most important historic sites in Central Europe. You’ll travel by coach from Prague through the beatuiful south Bohemian countryside passing picturesque villages and ponds. The whole town of Cesky Krumlov is on the Unesco heritage list, comprising 300 historic houses, the castle and chateau.
The town’s fairytale red-roofed castle is surrounded by landscaped gardens, and features grand courtyards, halls and furnishings. The castle’s development over the 14th to 19th centuries has been well preserved, both in layout and architectural detail. The mighty castle complex stands on a rock promontory sculpted by the Vltava River, dominating the attractive medieval town below.
Together with the magnificent Church of St. Vitus, the castle is a unique feature of the entire region. The town of Cesky Krumlov is situated in a valley surrounded by the Blansko Forest to the north and the undulating foothills of Sumava to the south and west.
